What tends to matter here
- Water safety carries more weight in a healthcare setting than almost anywhere else, and the monitoring regime is the part that lapses rather than the assessment.
- Hoists, beds and patient lifts are lifting equipment on the six-month interval, tracked per item rather than per site.
- Health data makes subject access requests and breach assessments frequent rather than exceptional, and both run on statutory clocks.
- Clinical and hazardous waste carry consignment requirements beyond ordinary duty of care.
- Records must survive staff turnover and reorganisation, which is what the audit trail is for.
