What it does
Periodic returns
The filings that come round every year, with the work that has to happen first sitting in front of them rather than behind them.
A return is a deadline with a run-up. The useful part is not the reminder on the day, it is the collection work scheduled through the period so the data exists when the deadline arrives.
Each return carries its own preparation actions with their own owners and dates, and the return itself stays amber until they are done.
Submitted returns are filed as dated evidence, so last year's is still there when this year's is being prepared.
What it does not do
The boundary, stated plainly, because you will find it eventually and it is better to find it now.
- DutyHub does not submit anything to anybody. It tracks the deadline, the preparation and the evidence that you filed.
